Summer Term 2018

The Year 11 Chaplaincy team were presented with their Bronze Faith in Action award. The Faith in Action award is a scheme that rewards young people for their faith based activities, within and outside of school. This is the first Faith in Action award that St Gregory’s has received and it was presented to the Y11 pupils by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon at an awards ceremony at St Mary’s Lowe House in July this year.

The Year 7 Chaplaincy team represented St Gregory’s at the Good Shepherd Mass at Leyland St Mary’s in June this year. Our pupils have been working hard all term to raise money for the Good Shepherd appeal, and the Good Shepherd mass was a great celebration where many schools from the Diocese gathered to offer their contributions. Mass was celebrated by Bishop Tom Williams.

Denzyl Carolino (11 Julian), a member of the Y11 Chaplaincy team, won the Knights of St Columba Easter painting competition this term. This was a great achievement as the competition is run nationwide, and the prize was awarded to Denzyl by a Supreme Knight.
